Title:Main Title: Transient Electromagnetic Data of the Roter Kamm Crater, Namibia
Description:Series Information: This dataset contains transient data from a transient electromagnet field survey to the Roter Kamm Crater in the Sperrgebiet in the southern Namib Desert, Namibia. Using this data resistivity models of the subsurface can be calculated and the geometry and sedimentary thickness of the clay pan can be imaged. Measurements were carried out along two profiles using the TEM-FAST 48. The coincident loop setup was used with a loop size of (50 x 50) m^2 and (100 x 100) m^2. Additionally, a fixed loop TEM survey along the main profile was carried out to reach a higher depth penetration. The Zonge ZT30 was used as a transmitter with a loop size of (200 x 200) m^2. As receivers the EMIT SMARtem 24 and the KMS 820 were used in combination with the Geonics 3D LF and 2 Zonge TEM 3 coils, respectively. The transient data is provided in ASCII-format. All coordinates can be found in the kmz-file. Additionally, three figures are provided that show 1D inversion results of all coincident loop soundings.
